Most people are afraid of local camping shops due to the fact that they often charge higher prices than online retailers like REI or the big-box outlet centers like Bass Pro shops but it’s always worth a try to do some price shopping online first to get a good idea of the price on the camping equipment you would like to buy and what type of discounted camping equipment is available online and then at least asked your local camping shops if they can meet that price. one nice thing about buying equipment from camping shops rather than online is if you have a problem with it you can always bring it back directly to the camping shops and have them help you figure out how it works. A perfect example is one I had bought a small gas powered camping stove that was reviewed online is one of the worlds greatest camping stoves. Luckily I bought the item from local sellers in when I could not figure out how to get the burners to work they were able to troubleshoot the item and fix it on the spot. If I had just bought the camping equipment online and place it in my shopping cart I probably would’ve had a much more difficult time returning the camping stove.
