Dear Big Camping Tent Guys,

I was hoping you could help me find a good kids camping tent. My husband and I live in Minnesota but we plan on taking our 3 kids to Utah this July for a camping trip in Moab. I know that it will be really hot, but I don’t want to just buy a kids camping tent that only works well for hot climates, we want to make sure the kids can use the tent for camping here in Minnesota during August and maybe next spring. I don’t need a tent that will be suited for winter camping but I also want to get my monies worth and buy a tent that will last a while. My kids are 12, 9 and 7 is a kids camping tent going to be enough to sleep 3 kids? After this trip I’m not as concerned about size as they will probably use it individually or with a friend doing back yard camping stuff.

When it comes to buying a big camping tent, size does matter, but there are several other factors you need to take into account before deciding on the right tent for you. Tents are designed for different seasons, climates, and activities and just because a tent is large does not mean it’s going to meet your needs.
